I think mothers can be pretty hard to shop for. I know my mum is - she wants an iPhone for Xmas- sorry to say that I doubt I can afford that. Part of this is what I guess my own mum would want, but yeah, these ideas can be altered to suit yours! This doesn't contain jewellery because not many people could buy their mother a diamond ring!
SOME TIPS:
-Practicality: from my experience, I think mothers would want something that is practical and that they could use in everyday life.
-Personal touch: Believe it or not, most (maybe all) mothers want something meaningful. I didn't think that my mum cared about the cute things and cards I got her but she actually did like it (her friend told me :P). Adding a small touch- something you know she likes or something you both have in common will affect her (in a good way).
1) Makeup/Skincare set: I actually bought this CLINIQUE set for my mother's birthday. You might not know what colours she likes but at least there are options for her (you never, maybe if she doesn't wear orange lip colours she might give it to you! ;) - yes, I'll admit I'm secretly hoping that). Skincare- because ladies love to take care of their skin. You can't go wrong.
2) Perfume: OK, so this GUCCI one is ABSOLUTELY DIVINE! My mum wants it, even I want it. Have a smell around your mum's perfumes, see what sort of scents she likes- whether it be florals, musks, fruity.
3) Wallet: A good wallet is an investment, paying a little extra for a good quality could mean it'll last you for years! If you get her one, you know that she'll use it every day! Kate Spade makes really classy wallets that aren't too expensive.
4) iPad/iPhone case: There are so many of these in stores. They look cool and they'll protect her gadgets!
5) Scarf: A fashion staple. If you're stuck on ideas and low on cash, a scarf is a good way to go. You'll mostly likely find a colour or print that she'll love! Try sites like ASOS or ModCloth.
6) Art: You could get her a painting, a print or a family photo. It could go in her office. That way, it'll make her room a little more decorative and every time she sees it she might think of you! This "Keep Calm and Stay Classy" one (from easy.com) is a great gift for a fashionista-mom!
Oh and also it's really inexpensive! http://etsy.me/U5FWYj
I had fun making this. Comment if you actually read the whole thing. I probably babbled on a bit too much! Hahaha. Thanks if you're reading this. :D
